Start with an asset system, not an asset count
“Ten assets” is useful only when each output has a job. One may introduce the central idea, another may explain a product benefit, and another may turn a character moment into a short hook. If all ten begin as isolated briefs, teams repeat the same research and risk telling ten slightly different versions of the story.
A connected foundation lets the asset plan begin with shared meaning:
- the audience and purpose of the larger story;
- the facts, characters, and visual references that should remain coherent;
- the sequences and moments that can stand on their own;
- the claims, reveals, or calls to action suited to each channel;
- the decisions that require a genuinely new composition or edit.
This makes reuse selective. Teams can carry forward what is already established while giving each deliverable the attention it deserves.
What changes between deliverables
A trailer may build curiosity without resolving the story. A paid variation may foreground one benefit. A vertical short may need a faster opening and a newly composed frame. A behind-the-scenes piece may use the same world and visual language while addressing a different audience need.
